Limestone-ammonium nitrate
Compared to ammonium nitrate, the fertilizer is less concentrated in terms of nitrogen content, but has better agrochemical properties due to the presence of calcium. When fertilizing with limestone-ammonium nitrate, calcium carbonates (CaCO3), magnesium carbonates (MgCO3) and ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) interact in the soil solution to form water-soluble calcium salts (Ca(NO3)2) and magnesium salts (Mg(NO3)2), which helps to reduce soil acidification. It is a very effective fertilizer for use on soils with high acidity and, when applied systematically, outperforms other forms of nitrogen fertilizers on acidic soils.
Limestone ammonium nitrate does not acidify the soil due to its neutral reaction.
It is used for all crops, either superficially or locally during the main application and for root fertilization, with mandatory incorporation into the soil.
Crops that require a neutral reaction of the soil solution, as well as all crops grown on acidic soils, respond well to fertilization with limestone-ammonium nitrate.
In addition to nitrogen, this fertilizer contains calcium and magnesium. The content of these important elements in UAN creates good conditions for improving plant growth and development, which guarantees a high and high-quality harvest.
